E-Award and
E-Star Award

In 1987, Rekerdres & Sons was awarded the highly coveted E-Award for Export Excellence by the U.S. Department of Commerce. In 1995, Rekerdres & Sons won the prestigious E-Star Award for sustained Export Excellence for demonstrating a continued commitment to international trade.

The President’s “E” Award was created by Executive Order of the President to recognize to persons, firms or organizations which contribute significantly in the effort to increase U.S. exports.

The President’s “E Star” Award gives continued recognition of noteworthy export efforts, as authorized by the Secretary of Commerce.

ISO 9001 Certified

As an ISO 9001 certified company, Reksons demonstrates the ability to consistently provide quality services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

ISO addresses various aspects of quality management, and the ISO 9001 is a standard based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement.

In 2013 and 2014, Ted Rekerdres, Brett Anderhub, and Adam Rekerdres were all recognized for their outstanding work in the insurance industry, working above and beyond to solve difficult client issues. World Maritime University

Rekerdres & Sons president Brett Anderhub received his post graduate diploma in marine insurance from the World Maritime University (WMU). Founded in 1983 by the International Maritime Organization, it is the premier center of excellence for maritime postgraduate education and research.

The Maritime Law Association of the United States

Reksons second generation president Ted Rekerdres is a member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States, which he joined after receiving his post graduate diploma in maritime law from the Lloyd’s Maritime Academy. Founded in 1899, the Maritime Law Association is the oldest and most recognized maritime legal organization in the US.

London Metropolitan University

National Alliance for Insurance Education

Many Reksons employees have received their CIC or CRM designations, and it is in progress for many others. Over the past 50 years, the National Alliance for Insurance Education has grown to become the leading professional insurance and risk management education resource.

International Center for Captive Insurance Education

Founded in 2001, the International Center for Captive Insurance Education offers in depth education and training for insurance agents, as well as a professional designation. Adam Rekerdres currently holds their Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI).

Independent Insurance Agents of Texas

As one of the largest state associations of its kind, IIAT serves nearly 1,500 independent insurance agencies and tens of thousands of employees. Every one of the Rekerdres & Sons employees is educated through IIAT, which offers training, advocacy business solutions, professional networking, and market resources.
